SPCA, or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is known as the first charitable organization located in Hong Kong, which deals with the entire aspects of animal welfare. Nowadays, SPCA has been getting the funding from the Government itself, and also from the kindness of the general public as well. The goals of SPCA are “to promote kindness and to comfort and prevent cruelty to animals.” These goals are aligned with the mission of this organization which is to promote kindness to all of the animals, to secure the health and welfare of animals, to prevent any cruelty and to lessen the suffering of animals. Throughout education, SPCA expects to nurture a deep respect for life itself within the community with a purpose to make all the living creatures to live along in harmony.
